Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn, who plays the role of Hodor has said that he was happy that Jon Snow got stabbed. In an interview with the Express, the Northern Irish actor said that he wasn't a bit sad to see the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch getting brutally stabbed by his own brothers. This is what he had to say:

I actually thought ‘great’. Just to get things straight, I love Kit and I love his portrayal of Jon Snow but I’m not a huge fan of the character. So I was like: ‘Kill him! Kill him! He’s boring and there’s so many better characters on Game of Thrones. You’ve killed better characters than that. I didn’t understand all the weeping and wailing, so I say get rid of him. So who knows what’s going to happen though.’

 
Game of Thrones season 5 did not feature Hodor and Bran Stark and Kristian didn't have much idea about what was going to happen in the season untill it was aired in April. He admitted that he hasn't yet watched the season but he knows about the major events that happened because of Facebook and also his friends who have told him about what has happened in the season. However, he has watched Cersei's walk of shame and he was shocked after watching the scene.

I watched the scene with Cersei walk through the city. I just couldn’t believe it. I heard about it. I wasn’t particularly affected by it until I saw it and it starts off being quite mild and it just ramps up and ramps up. By the end of it, it’s just horrifying. You feel so bad for her. How can this get worse? It just keeps getting worse.

Kristian was happy that Hodor was going to be a part of the 6th season but he didn't tell when he would start shooting. This is what he had to say about his role in season 6:

I think we’ve got some pretty cool stuff ahead of us. I love our storyline. I missed it last season, so I’m excited to see where it’s going to go.
