George R.R. Martin denies Game of Thrones movie rumours

Few days back many popular news publications had posted articles which said that George R.R. Martin himself had confirmed during the Emmy Awards after-party about a Game of Thrones movie. We had followed the Emmy awards and there was no such mention about any movie and hence we were skeptical about the movie and that's why we never carried any article about the Game of Thrones movie.

Now George R.R. Martin himself has confirmed that all the news articles about the movie were baseless and there's no such movie happening. In a new post titled What Movie?, George R.R. Martin has clarified that there have been no talks about any movie and he asked the fans not to believe everything they read online.

I don't know where this latest round of "there's going to be a GAME OF THRONES movie" nonsense is coming from, but suddenly it is everywhere, and all of us connected with the show and HBO are being bombarded. But nothing has changed.

However Martin said that the idea for a movie seems very attractive to him and he thinks that it will be a great way to end the series. He also added that this doesn't mean that there will be a movie. I think this clarifies everything. It would be amazing to watch a Game of Thrones movie but as of now it doesn't seem to be happening.
